EASE announced $9.5 million of additional equity from AAFC Group on November 2, bringing its stated total equity to $24 million. The company provides medical equipment through pay-per-use and managed-service arrangements, including surgical robots and diagnostic systems.

Capital supports equipment access

The model combines financing with maintenance, support and upgrades. It can reduce the customer’s initial equipment outlay, while placing utilisation, servicing and capital-recovery responsibilities within the provider’s business.

Service is part of the financing model

EASE identifies existing surgical-robot deployments in South Africa and diagnostic installations in South Africa and Ghana. It targets at least $20 million of new South African installations in 2027, a future deployment objective.

Installations will test execution

Installed equipment, customer utilisation and service costs will determine the return on the new capital. The financing expands capacity to pursue that model, while clinical outcomes require evidence beyond a funding announcement.
